I wish my brain, my sleeping brain that is, was available for rent and you could Netflix yourself into the latest episode. That way, tomorrow at the water cooler, you would know what everybody else is talking about. ;)
Lots of people say they don't dream, mostly guys. But quite a few ladies do too. And I am not quite sure why some people dream, or remember their dreams and others don't.
And for those of you that don't I truly feel bad for you.
Dreaming is such an added benefit to my life. As cheesy as that sounds, it's like a show only I can see, unless I choose to share it with someone. It gives me something to look forward to when my head hits the pillow and something to think about when my eyes pop open in the morning.
I have good dreams. I have bad dreams. I have sweat inducing, panic striking, heart stopping, pulse racing night mares. I have those teeth falling out dreams, those naked in school dreams, those being chased dreams, those death dreams, those flying dreams. I have those gross sex dreams you never want to admit you had to another soul. I have those yummy sex dreams where, the moment you wake up you squeeze your eyes tightly back together willing sleep to grab you once more so you can pick right back up in the dream you were so harshly ripped from. I have had those dreams that have stuck with me, ones that made me think WTF, what is going on in my head?
How does my brain do it? Is it a symptom of an over-active imagination or something bigger than that? Are dreams the answers to questions we haven't thought up yet or are they prophecies of things to come or a melding of our past activities all jumbled together or simply little snippets of our brainwaves holding us over until our bodies recharge? Are dreams really just the bumpers to the next act of our lives or so much more than that? Are they things to be analyzed to try and figure out what is going on in your life or simply thought about once and thrown away into your memory bank trash can?
Honestly, very honestly, I have no fucking idea.
But dreams are something that fascinate me. Mine more than most. But all dreams fascinate me. I love hearing about them and talking about them.
And now I am going to share mine with you.
I promise the dreams you are about to read are completely and one hundred percent truthful.
I will never exaggerate or fluff them up. I have no need to.
My sleeping brain is pretty friggen awesome.
I hope you agree.
